Radiant Barriers
Radiant barriers, when properly applied, are extremely effective at blocking radiant heat. Radiant barriers that are sprayed onto the underside of the roof decking can block up to 75% of the heat transfer, resulting in significantly lower attic temperatures. Lowering the attic temperature can increase the efficiency of the HVAC equipment that is located in the attic, and can increase the efficiency of attic insulation.
